PIERRE MATTA, TEACHING ELDER
Pierre is a native of Houston who grew up in a large family. He has a degree in pastoral studies and in behavioral sciences. Pierre loves to walk and listen to audio books. He also enjoys listening to people from all walks of life tell their story.
Pierre believes that God loves people and desires to have an intimate and growing relationship with those who have placed their trust in Him. He believes that the church is called to develop fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
BOB DUKE, ELDER
Bob has lived in Galveston since August 1977, shortly thereafter becoming a Christian in Galveston Bible Church (known as Believers’ Fellowship at that time).
Bob met and married his wife Jeannette within the next couple of years and they have served at and been served at GBC since the late ‘70s. The Lord has provided for the Duke Family in many ways as Bob and Jeannette raised seven children, currently living around Texas or in the Middle East. Bob’s greatest desire is to love God and His Word, the Bible, and share with others that Jesus loves them and died for their sins.
ALLEN BLAKE, ELDER
Allen Blake moved to Galveston in 2016 and found a home in Galveston Bible Church.
Allen and his wife Gwen enjoy serving others in whatever way the Lord leads. His prayer is that we all have a growing walk with God through a life and worldview that is consistently biblical.
